Free to schools and a small service fee for parents. For any school in Australia.
 
After receiving a note home from the school my son now attends (he is new to Kindy 2012), to pay $3 for a Presentation Day and $4 for Gardening Gloves and attempting to line up at the office to pay for these items, I emailed the Principal and asked whether our Online Payment System could work for the school.

"Sounds Fabulous" followed by a discussion with the School Administration Manager, was all it took and SchoolPayments.com.au was birthed.  

After pondering the cost of the service and PayPal fees and the main beneficiaries being us parents, we decided to charge a the parents a small Service Fee on each transaction to cover costs.

This means that the service does not cost the schools additional funds and only slightly costs parents who ultimately will want the convenience of being able to pay school payments online.

I know I am now going to use my own system and happily pay the transaction costs just so I can use my credit card on a trusted gateway called, PayPal but not only that, be able to pay these fees as they are due from the comfort of my own home WITHOUT LINING UP! 
 
All we have to do is send in Permission Notes with the kids and pay online before the due date. It is that easy. We can also pay for multiple items for multiple kids (if we have them at the one school).

Not only does SchoolPayments.com.au work for School Fees but it has quickly evolved to allow School Uniform Shops a way to sell School Uniforms online and receive payments via Credit Card.

We are excited to see this system grow and hope that it is a help to fellow busy parents.
